Primary Job Duties


-       Inspects and tests equipment and machinery to evaluate operating condition

-       Troubleshoots complex mechanical malfunctions when necessary

-       Determines materials and tools necessary for completing any equipment and machinery repairs

-       Able to personally make needed repairs to a variety of equipment and machinery including:

o   CNC Routers

o   Forklifts

o   Hydralic Compressors

o   Vacuum Pumps

-       Performs routine maintenance according to established maintenance schedule

-       Able to perform some routine auto maintenance

-       Assists with other Facilities department projects as needed


Knowledge and Abilities


-       Knowledge of methods and techniques used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical equipment and machinery

-       Knowledge of safety hazards involved and appropriate precautions needed

-       Ability to work from blueprints or sketches

-       Knowledge and ability in the use of mechanics tools and shop equipment

-       Basic electrical knowledge is a big plus

-       Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

-       Must be able to climb ladders or work in confined spaces when needed

-       Must be able and willing to wear whatever PPE (glasses, tyvex suits, respirators, gloves) is required to complete tasks safely

-       Must be able to work in non-climate controlled environments

-       Must be able to work extended hours when a project local weather emergencies dictate

-       Must possess cell phone for communication with other team members

-       Must possess a valid FL Driver’s License
